What are the requirements for pipeline installation of ultrasonic flowmeter?
1. Selection of resettlement location
To ensure reliable and secure operation of the flowmeter, the following requirements should be noted when selecting the placement location:
(1) Avoid magnetic objects and equipment with strong electromagnetic fields (such as large motors, transformers, etc.) to prevent the magnetic field from affecting the working magnetic field and flow signal of the sensor.
(2) It can only be placed in a dry and ventilated place, and cannot be placed in a damp place that is prone to water accumulation.
(3) Avoid direct sunlight and rain, avoid environments with temperatures above 60 ℃ and relative humidity above 95%.
(4) Choose a convenient location for after-sales service and convenience.
(5) The flowmeter should be installed at the rear end of the pump, not on the suction side; The valve should be installed on the downstream side of the flow.

2. Selection of pipeline placement status
In order to ensure the reliable and secure operation of the flowmeter, the following requirements should be noted when selecting the location of the pipeline installation:
(1) Sensors can be installed on vertical, horizontal, or inclined pipelines, but require the center connection of the two electrodes to be in a horizontal state.
(2) When the electromagnetic flowmeter is working, it is required that the measuring tube be filled with the measured medium. To ensure this when placed horizontally, it is necessary to place the sensor at a slightly lower elevation than the pipeline, as shown in the figure, or to provide sufficient back pressure downstream of the sensor.
(3) For liquid-solid two-phase fluids, vertical placement is adopted to ensure uniform wear of the sensor lining and extend its service life.
(4) Regardless of whether it is placed horizontally or vertically, in the manufacturing process pipelines, in order to not affect the manufacturing and facilitate the after-sales disassembly and assembly of instruments, sensors should be placed in parallel with the original main process pipeline (bypass pipe) as much as possible, especially for liquids that need to be frequently flushed due to tension and pollution.
(5) The length of the straight pipe section in front of the flowmeter is ≥ 10DN, and the length of the rear end is ≥ 5DN. When site conditions do not allow, at least the requirements of ≥ 5DN in the front end and ≥ 2DN in the rear end must be met.
