Installation and Technical Information of Ultrasonic Water Level Wireless Telemetry Device from Fujian Aotai Automation Equipment Co., Ltd.

The ultrasonic wireless remote water level measurement device from Fujian Aotai Automation Equipment Co., Ltd., after being selected by the Urban Construction Institute, was installed and commissioned by Aotai's engineering department on November 18, 2025. The installation location is near Shuanglong Temple, Jinjishan, Jin'an District, Fuzhou City. It is primarily used to measure the water level in a 20×5 meter square water supply tank.

This device employs a non-contact measurement method. Compared to contact-based hydrostatic sensors, it avoids direct contact with water, preventing secondary pollution. Furthermore, the water quality and debris in the measured water have minimal impact on the measurement results, resulting in relatively lower operation and maintenance workload. The device integrates AUTEC ultrasonic sensors, supporting independent parameter settings for long, medium, and short waves, accurately controlling the transmitted wave energy. Both the main unit and sensors have IP68 protection and are housed in a stainless steel casing, offering high robustness and meeting the requirements for long-term field deployment.

The device operates by determining the distance to the target reflecting surface based on the time difference of ultrasonic illumination and reflection, thereby achieving water level measurement. Powered by a built-in 133 Ah battery, it utilizes special low-power and sleep technologies to significantly extend battery life—allowing for continuous operation for 7 years under conditions of "measuring and uploading every 5 minutes," thus substantially reducing equipment maintenance costs.

In terms of data transmission, the device uses a 4G private network signal, which can wirelessly upload the measurement results to the server; in terms of core parameters, the ultrasonic transducer operates at a frequency of 40 kHz, the measurement blind zone is 0.015 meters, the water level resolution is 0.001 meters, and the measurement elevation is based on the zero elevation.
